Dr. Werthmann, Austrian, has been living and working for more than 30 years in the "Salzburger Land". He did his doctor’s degree in "General medicine" in 1962 at the University of Innsbruck and received his practical training at the university clinic of Innsbruck as well as at several other hospitals. Already at that time he showed a vivid interest in various complimentary methods of cures.

In the past decades he concentrated his fields of activities in intestinal allergies and the thereby resulting chronic deseases. His talent for observation showed him the meaning of the intestinal bacterial layer and the deseases depending on that. Especially int the pediatric field the positive effects of respecting the intestinal layer can be pretty quickly recognized. Especially the protein structures of the first nine months are the ones that form allergies and manifest themselves later as various deseases.

The knowledge about the events in the intestines quickly expand, and can be applied to the deseases of adolescency as well as adulthood. His experience finally leads to the therapy consisting of a diet (without cow’s milk and hen’s egg products) in combination with a therapy of the bacterial layer (the so-called SANUM®-therapy or Isopathy according to Prof. Enderlein). The success with this diet in the case of rheumatism,asthma, colitis-syndrome and skin deseases as well as in the case of other chronic deseases encourage him to write books – they are all available through the internet.
